Rohini Spring Delight 2019

Rohini Spring Delight 2019  is produced from Rohini Tea Estate, “the youngest tea estate of Darjeeling”. The dry leaves are green in appearance and consist of finely plucked whole leaves. The cup is very mellow and flowery with typical spring-fresh flavor and a finish of pleasing mild astringency and a lingering after taste. The tea is more like a regular early First Flush Darjeeling with a very lively flavor.

During the month of March when temperature is low and the climate, in general, is very cool. The tea bushes are grown and harvested at an elevation between 1500-3000 feet. The high elevation imparts a special flavor in the teas, making it unique in the world class. This tea undergoes natural oxidation during the manufacturing process and as such, there is no induced oxidation for this tea.

The workers are very careful in there plucking to make sure only the best shots with prominent buds are plucked. First flush teas are known to be slightly oxidized to ensure that all the exquisite flavors are prominently present. That fresh feeling of Darjeeling tea is naturally available.

The Plucking is of such fine quality that the tea only needs to be hand sorted and the machines used to make the tea are very rare. It is a true delight and one of our First Flush Darjeeling Tea.
